Cell sorting reduces variation within a group. The correct method depends on chemistry, cell history, PACK design and quality requirements—not one universal threshold.
Key planning points
OCV
Open-circuit voltage is a quick screening input but does not by itself describe capacity or full dynamic behavior.
Internal resistance
IR helps identify electrical variation that can influence heat and voltage behavior under load.
Capacity and aging history
Projects with tighter consistency needs may require capacity grading or controlled aging information.
Traceability
Define barcode, channel, result and lot data that must follow the cell into module and PACK records.
Equipment selection
Specify cell format, channels, range, accuracy, loading method, takt time and data interface before quotation.
